It is becoming increasingly evident that exposure to man-made electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) can be detrimental to human, animal, and even plant health. Every day we are exposed to naturally occurring background frequencies and magnetic fields coming from the Earth and Sun, and from outer space. Over millennia, we evolved to live with, and even to a large extent, benefit from (as well as depend upon) this natural phenomenon. The problem lies, however, with the ever increasing number of unnatural electromagnetic frequencies being emitted from cell phones and wi-fi (wireless) Internet, and from an ever increasing number of transmitters being placed on masts, towers, schools, health centers, tall buildings, and even disguised as trees. It has become increasingly acknowledged that this type of electromagnetic radiation can and does interfere with the delicate nature of our own body's electrical system. In our daily lives we also come into close proximity with computers and televisions, plus many other household and office electrical equipment and gadgets, which also emit forms of electromagnetic radiation that can adversely affect us.

In some countries a new health condition is being recognized; Electrical Hypersensitivity (EHS), and people suffering from this condition (and you may be one of them) are known as Electrosensitives. A recent study in Sweden, a country that is taking this seriously, showed that 3% of their population suffers from Electrical Hypersensitivity. Exposure to unnatural man-made electomagnetic radiation is thought to be the cause of a host of symptoms and conditions, including, but not confined to, hyperactivity, asthma, depression, leukemia and autism in kids, and a host of symptoms and conditions in adults, including immune system dysfunction, cancer, lack of concentration, headaches, anxiety, memory problems, and even insomnia and depression among others.

While it is obvious that it would be hugely inconvenient (not to mention tremendously unpopular!) to tear down our newly emerging wireless world, we can and must (at least until technology catches up to the task of providing a safe wireless infrastructure) take affordable steps, right now, to give ourselves and our children some element of protection from this problem.
